Short, factual answers about InvBAS.
InvBAS is an iPhone app for Australian sole traders and small businesses. It creates ABN and GST-aware invoice PDFs, records expenses and GST credits, shows quarterly GST/BAS summaries (G1, 1A, 1B) from your own records, and keeps owner drawings and personal super notes. Records are stored locally on your iPhone with no account.
InvBAS is free to download. The free plan includes invoices, PDFs, expenses, GST/BAS summaries and backup, with up to 10 saved customers. InvBAS Pro costs A$4.99 per month or A$39.99 per year in the Australian App Store and unlocks unlimited saved customers. New plans are planned but not live yet.
Yes. Invoice PDFs show your business ABN and, if entered, your customer's ABN. When your business is marked as GST registered and GST applies, the PDF is headed TAX INVOICE and shows the GST amount.
Mark your business as not registered for GST and invoice PDFs show “Not registered for GST. No GST has been charged.” InvBAS does not decide whether you must register for GST.
No. InvBAS shows a BAS summary (G1 total sales, 1A GST on sales, 1B GST credits) from your own records so you can check figures before you lodge through the ATO or your BAS agent. It does not lodge BAS or tax returns.
On your iPhone. InvBAS does not require an account and does not run a cloud database for your invoice, expense or BAS records. You can export a backup file and import it on another device.
Not yet. Quotes that convert into invoices are planned for InvBAS Pro. Today InvBAS creates invoices.
InvBAS is currently an iPhone app with an English interface. This website is available in English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese.
